Surviving Amputation & Anorexia: Interview with Jackie Ulmer

Recently I had the opportunity to meet and speak with Jackie Ulmer, and I immediately felt her genuine empathy and warmth radiating through the screen, across the miles between us. Her own struggles and life experiences have given her a heart for helping others, and I’m grateful I was able to share my journey with her.

We squeezed a lot into 30 minutes - what led me to begin carnivore in 2018, my eating disorder recovery journey, the failure of modern “medicine” in its approach to mental health in particular, dealing with unsupportive family members, and my new daily reality after amputation. Watch it below and leave a comment if anything in particular resonates with you!

Whether you’re a veteran or simply carnivore curious, Jackie and I are both available to help you on your journey! Get more of Jackie at her website, Lower Toxic Life. Interested in working with me for free? Sign up for a consultation here.
